November 2026 · Laredo, Texas

There is more than one way to spend an evening together. On Saturday, November 7, North Central Park will host a celebration built around remembering loved ones, sharing traditions and making room for the community.

Laredo’s 4th Annual Día de los Muertos runs from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at 10202 International Boulevard. The announced program brings music, dance, food vendors and a Catrina contest into the same evening, with a separately registered Glow 5K starting at 7:00 PM.

Come for the celebration

Mariachi and ballet folklórico are part of the planned entertainment. Food vendors and informational booths give visitors other stops to make around the celebration. You can plan the outing around the activities that interest your group rather than signing up for the race.

The Catrina contest adds a creative element for people who want to participate. If that is part of your plan, arrange your contest registration in advance instead of assuming arrival at the park is enough to enter.

A place for remembrance

A community altar is also part of the event. Residents are invited to submit photographs of loved ones to be included. That gives the evening a personal connection beyond the performances and activities.

If you would like to contribute a photograph, confirm the submission process with the organizers beforehand. The altar is an opportunity to take part in the remembrance, whether or not you enter a contest or race.

The Glow 5K is a separate activity

The Día de los Muertos X RotaRun Glow 5K begins at 7:00 PM at North Central Park. The run/walk welcomes families and walkers, and its registration is separate from the wider celebration. Glow sticks are planned, and participants are encouraged to bring their own glow gear or themed attire.

Decide which parts of the evening you want to join before heading out. Race participation requires registration; a visit to the celebration does not automatically enter you in the 5K. Check organizer updates for any changes before November 7.
